3 R’s – Reuse, Recycle, Reproduce

This course emphasizes the 3 R’s as pillars of sustainable design. Learners will explore creative approaches to reusing, recycling, and reproducing resources to minimize waste. Projects and case studies will highlight material recovery, upcycling, and regenerative practices. The course encourages experimentation with discarded materials, renewable resources, and innovative techniques for functional outcomes. Learners will critically evaluate global waste challenges and develop responsible design solutions guided by circular economy principles. Through hands-on activities, they will create meaningful interventions with ecological, social, and economic impact, gaining skills to design sustainably across fashion, interiors, product design, and related industries.
